Been playing a lot of Arkham City after reading that there a few more easter eggs that haven’t been discovered yet. I feel like I’ve turned the prison upside down putting explosive gel on suspicious spots and back tracking through areas. I wonder if I’m on a snipe hunt?
Here’s Nell as Batgirl as seen from Steph’s run as Batgirl in issue #24. I loved this little girl. Too bad we may never actually see her become Batgirl because of the New 52. /tears
perfection
Never say never! That’s the nice thing about comics. Everything is seemingly possible even if there have been world altering changes. Where there is a writer, there’s a way!
It looks like a fantastic game, but I’m still a little skeptical about super hero fighting game unless it’s in an arcade format like MvC. I think a solid super hero RPG or Action/Adventure would be better. I mean you could have it focused on a single character like the Batman Arkham games. Wonder Woman immediately comes to mind for a similar game. I think there is a lot you can do with her considering there’s Themyscira. Seems like a great game could be built around the island and maybe the bigger DC universe.
Still I’ll keep tabs on Injustice because it’s could have a lot of promise. No reason to write it off after one trailer.
Yay!!! Finally! I have the Black Widow ones even better looking in person n____nReebok X Marvel Officially Licensed Limited Edition Sneakers!
Pretty psyched about this one, been sitting on it for a while. Here is the first line of the Reebok X Marvel collaboration that I designed. I’ve been working with kids footwear to create Spider-Man licensed shoes for a few years now, and finally, we can get some adult sizes for us grown-up nerds (and nerd-ettes)! The sneakers drop this summer at specific retailers, read more info here, here, here and here. The first lineup is Captain America, Red Skull, Spider-Man, Venom, Wolverine, Sabretooth, Deadpool, Chamber, Black Widow and Emma Frost.
I want the Venoms and Spider-Mans!

Geez! It looks like their really putting Lara through the wringer. Very excited for this game; what a departure from the previous titles.
such adorable kids!
This was a really fun issue. Too bad we never got more adventures in babysitting with Laura. My favorite line, “There will be no fun.” haha
This is a digital comic that cost 0.99 cents and it was the creative team is the fantastic Amanda Conner, Justin Gray, and Jimmy Palmiotti team. Given that price for 22 pages and the talent I had to give it a shot. I suppose this story/version of Wonder Woman is sort of a stand alone off in her own universe deal because she is based on the anime Wonder Woman. You may have seen a number of DC ladies get the anime treatment with an anime statue.

A pretty drastic change from the usual Wonder Woman outfit. The Diana in the comic seems to be a bit younger than New 52 Diana. She’s still on Themyscria under Hippolyta’s watchful eye. Other than those two aspects not much else has changed. This Diana is still quite the fighter and impatient when it comes to fighting. Basically the character many are familiar with is still here.
While not exactly a drastically new story, the Amazons are defending themselves from invaders, it was a solid read. It’s only a three part story so I really am not expecting anything epic. A fun and engaging story will do just fine for that asking price. Given the work Conner, Gray, and Palmiotti did with Power Girl I think they’ll deliver.
Also it seems this will be the first in a series of Ame-Comi digital titles. Batgirl, Duela Dent, Power Girl, Supergirl, and an Ongoing are listed in the Wonder Woman issue. Could be a fun set of books.
I must admit my tumblr blog has taken a bit of backseat lately. Between the job and general laziness/sleepiness I haven’t posted much lately. It’s been a crazy few weeks. I’ve covered a ton of stories that have kept me busy. That’s the good thing about journalism though, there’s always something new. I’d like to review more comics that I read, but I mostly do short and sweet posts.
I’m still delving into the digital comics. Mostly the free and cheap ones. You can’t beat a 99 cent comic! I definitely see the appeal and potential with them. Comics any where and every where you go is incredibly handy. I can see myself opening one up to inform a friend about a character or story. I’m currently reading them mainly on my Samsung Galaxy S phone and it looks nice. If I could afford a tablet I’d definitely switch over to that. Still going to stick with the floppies though.
Speaking of which I’m going to need a 5th long box. My DC box is about ready to burst. I’m thinking of making the 5th box for Bat-family books only. I have a ton of them and I guess it makes sense. I did the same for my X-Men comics and it gave me more room in my Marvel box. What would really be nice is some custom filing cabinets.
Also excited for summer. Summer in DC means more tourists to wade through, but I’m looking forward to getting some blue crabs! Summer is not complete unless you have some crabs and fingers covered in Old Bay Seasoning. If you don’t know about Old Bay you need to buy some. Steamed shrimp and steamed crabs are incomplete without it.
