Whew… No question, this is one of the wildest times of the year for SPX.
On the one hand, the highs are really high! We kicked off the new year by announcing some amazing guests for this year’s show. We also opened registration for exhibitors and, well, in the blink of an eye the show floor was
Can’t wait to go this year. Hopefully I’ll have a bit more money to spend this time around.
Crossing my fingers I’ll get to cover it for the newspaper I write for.
The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore
So if you watched the Oscars you’ll know this short animated film won an Oscar. I admit I didn’t see or know of it before the Oscars, but the brief preview piqued my interest because it looked absolutely amazing. It’s about 15:00 minutes in length.

I’m really glad to see the Lady Mechanika tag get more posts. It didn’t have much a few months ago, but I’ve noticed it’s getting more and more posts in there. I think people are catching wind of how awesome it is.
Despite the long waits between issues this is a book that’s worth checking out. The art is gorgeous and the story so far has been very well written.

Out of all the comics I picked up this week, I think this one had the best cover. I love the shadows on Storm and Jubilee. The background is pretty cool too.
It was also a pretty solid read. What’s not to love about a team of X-Men led by Storm hunting vampires?
