Admittedly I was skeptical about DC’s Earth 2 news. I’m really enjoying a lot of the new 52 books and the idea of another Earth so soon seemed unappealing for some reason. But after letting the idea marinate for awhile and seeing some of those concept sketches I think it could be fun. After shrinking their universe down DC is slowly starting to expand again. Maybe characters fans have been begging to see will start appearing. I am planning to give the Huntress and Power Girl book a shot, that seems like a winning combination as far as team ups go. The Earth 2 stories could bring some unique twists on the usual DC characters. The differences between the two universes hopefully will be fun.

I also liked the reveal in the back of last week’s Justice League concerning Pandora. She’s the mystery character that’s been in the background of the DC books. That teaser was quite interesting because it hints at just how the new DC Universe came to be and that she’s responsible. It also seems to create a door if DC ever wants to reverse these changes they’ve made. But every story can be reversed right?

2012 should be exciting for DC readers. There are a lot of fun stories coming, Night of Owls!, and more reveals about the DCU as a whole should be really fun. I have a feeling tiny threads connecting all these stories are being made. I can’t wait to see what’s ahead.
